The BLAME Game In The Battle

“They made me do it, I had no choice!” right… sure…
Many of us fall into this stealthy trap laid by the deceivers… we step through the door and WHAAP! Stuck inside.
It’s both Pride and Envy speaking to us, tempting us, spouting a lie, calling
us in.
Rather than taking responsibility for our actions, our thoughts, our walk, we throw the ‘blame’ upon someone or something else.
It’s so nice to be responsible-less, right?
Wrong!
In this age, it seemingly is the right thing to do, blame everyone else for some problem… put the onerous on another, their actions or inactions, when it really falls directly upon us. And this is intensely promoted by the devils through their lies and manipulations of our emotions. Casting our problem upon another, we walk away to some false sinful consolation that does us no good.
By taking responsibility, we step into the Passion, and from there, death, resurrection and ascension… Alleluia!!

Look, do we shun our responsibilities? Our duties? Do we walk this road of
lies?
We must open our eyes and see, use our intelligence and higher faculties to recognize the evil of Blame.
We must abandon the Blame Game and return to Truth.
So, pull up your big boy pants and your big girl skirt!
Walk strong in Faith…
The way to Truth is by giving yourself over to the Trinity completely. This must be a daily act, actually moment to moment at times of temptation. Just as Thomas said, “my Lord and my God.” John 20:28. This is what we should be saying, knowing that this is Truth. Say it now, say it later, say it again and again. Believe and be saved. To Battle against the Blame Game, we must engage against two major sins, Pride and Envy. We should use the Virtues to do Battle. As stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, (1833) Virtue is a habitual and firm disposition to do good.

So what do we do?

To Battle against Pride, we should seek the Virtue of Humility. Pray, study, pray more, study more… go to the CCC for information on the Virtues as well as Contemplative Prayer and how to pray.
“One of the seven capital sins. Pride is undue self-esteem or self-love, which seeks attention and honor and sets oneself in competition with God (1866).”
The Virtue of Humility is simply knowing that God is God, and we are not! We are His creation, He is the creator of all that is good. We stand in awe of Him and recognize all that is good comes from Him and not us.
From the CCC: HUMILITY: The virtue by which a Christian acknowledges that God is the author of all good. Humility avoids inordinate ambition or pride, and provides the foundation for turning to God in prayer (2559). Voluntary humility can be described as “poverty of spirit” (2546).”

To Battle against Envy, we should seek the Virtue of Kindness.
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

“Envy: Resentment or sadness at another’s good fortune, and the desire to
have it for oneself. One of the seven capital sins, envy is contrary to the
tenth commandment (2539).
(2539) Envy is a capital sin. It refers to the sadness at the sight of another’s
goods and the immoderate desire to acquire them for oneself, even
unjustly. When it wishes grave harm to a neighbor it is a mortal sin:
St. Augustine saw envy as “the diabolical sin.” “From envy are born hatred,
detraction, calumny, joy caused by the misfortune of a neighbor, and
displeasure caused by his prosperity.” 328
(2540) Envy represents a form of sadness and therefore a refusal of
charity; the baptized person should struggle against it by exercising good
will. Envy often comes from pride; the baptized person should train himself
to live in humility:
Just as St. John Chrysostom said this regarding such: “Would you like to
see God glorified by you? Then rejoice in your brother’s progress and you
will immediately give glory to God. Because his servant could conquer envy
by rejoicing in the merits of others, God will be praised.”
(2554) The baptized person combats Envy through good-will, humility, and
abandonment to the providence of God.”
Don’t play the Blame Game! Stop it now… Use the Truth.

You are not alone In The Battle…
